Today we are introducing the first iteration of weather data within the RailState map. This marks the beginning of a powerful new way to understand how weather could be impacting the rail network.
What’s New
- Weather Layer: Access current conditions, today's forecast, and recent history directly from a new menu item on the Map tab.
- Dynamic Overlays: Toggle precipitation, temperature, snowfall, wind speed, or icons, and view as values or a heat-map.
- Custom Settings: Switch units to match your regional preferences (°F/°C, mph/km/h, inches/mm).
- Contextual Insights: Combine weather with other map layers, such train data or outliers for deeper visual analysis.
